Presidential visit during Intermodal Africa 2026

From 10 to 12 February 2026, Bemo Rail participated in Intermodal Africa 2026 in Djibouti. The trade fair is considered one of the most important events for the port industry, shipping, and logistics in Africa.

The conference brings together professionals from across the continent. The event took place at the Djibouti Palace Kempinski Hotel, located in one of Africa’s most strategically important maritime hubs.

Three days of exchange and innovation

Our colleagues Hugo Neefjes and Roeland Hondema welcomed visitors at stands 27 and 41. Over three intensive days at the exhibition, we held numerous discussions with industry representatives.

The focus was on efficient and reliable terminal processes. We exchanged experiences, discussed current challenges, and explored concrete solutions for ports and terminals.

Intermodal Africa once again underlined Djibouti’s central role in regional and international trade.

Innovative rail- and shunting systems for terminals

The event provided an ideal platform to present our solutions. Bemo Rail supports ports and terminals worldwide with innovative rail and shunting systems.

Our systems increase safety. They enhance efficiency. And they improve operational reliability in daily operations.

Visit of the President of Djibouti

A special highlight was the visit of Mr. Ismaïl Omar Guelleh, President of Djibouti, to our stand.

We had the honour of presenting our solutions to him personally and exchanging a few words. Encounters like this make international trade fairs especially valuable and memorable.

Thank you for your visit

We look back on three inspiring days. The exhibition brought valuable discussions, new contacts, and strengthened partnerships.

We would like to thank all visitors who came to our stands and took the time to speak with us. We look forward to continuing these conversations and shaping the future of rail-based terminal processes together.
